Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Experienced Required in De Soto, KS to provide reliable security services at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. This role offers fixed shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will earn $22.28 per hour, and have opportunities for hands-on experience and growth. A background check and drug screen are required, and at least one year of security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.

• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Experienced Required in De Soto, KS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual activity or access-control issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.
• Maintain awareness of changing conditions throughout the location and communicate security-related information, hazards, and policy concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
