As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Experienced Patrol Reporting in Chicago, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, vendors, and staff by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a high‑traffic commercial waterfront destination.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout public areas, tenant spaces, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, providing directions and assistance while reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
