Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time for Summit, NJ. The role offers fixed weekend shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will provide customer service, conduct security patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents to keep the site safe. The position requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver’s license as per Allied Universal policy.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state/city security license is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, solution-focused manner and document appropriately.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols across the property, including entrances, parking, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site requirements and report concerns to the appropriate team.
• Complete incident reports, logs, and shift communications accurately and timely.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol Accountability in Summit, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.35 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the commercial property, including common areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, documenting observations and communicating concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
