Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a retail distribution center, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
• Document daily activities and incidents, and communicate information to leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Credential Processing in Pittston, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Mon 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts")): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out access-control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a retail distribution center, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor and contractor access records.
• Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
• Document daily activities, access‑control events, and incidents accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
