Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Governance in El Segundo, CA. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with a six‑month commitment and optional extra shifts via our scheduling platform, increasing earnings and experience across sites.

Pay rate is $21.00 per hour, with a part-time schedule (Fri 12:00 AM - 06:00 AM) and potential to scale up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Primarily a driving post.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Criminal histories considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required depending on state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors with site-specific access control.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and process entries, maintain records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular/random patrols of entry points and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Governance in El Segundo, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Job Schedule:

• Fri 12:00 AM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, process visitor and contractor entries, and maintain accurate access‑related records.
• Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access control issues, incidents, and unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
