Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen to extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking areas, hotel perimeter, and other locations.
• Monitor access points and report security concerns to Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation per site procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Auditor in Milpitas, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking areas, hotel perimeter, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting security-related concerns to appropriate hotel personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
