Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Pacific Palisades, CA. This role provides flexible, reliable hours with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, while protecting people and property at a designated site.

You will work a fixed anchor shift and may take extra shifts through the scheduling platform to boost income. Prior security experience and license requirements apply as specified.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report unusual activity to designated personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to identify hazards or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document observations for designated contacts.
• Support security operations by completing accurate activity reports and following client procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coverage in Pacific Palisades, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 07:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized access, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying designated contacts as required.
• Support security-related operations by completing accurate activity reports, maintaining awareness of site conditions, and following applicable client and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
