Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying credentials and authorizations.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, issue/recover badges, and report discrepancies or security concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following established procedures and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related conditions.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Checkpoint Security in Point Comfort, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying credentials, authorizations, vehicle information, and visitor or contractor documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access‑control logs, issue and recover badges or visitor passes, and report discrepancies, unauthorized access attempts, and security‑related concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related conditions requiring attention.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
