Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Summerville, SC. The role offers a fixed anchor shift with additional optional shifts to increase earnings, paying $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Armed/unarmed role age requirements: 18+ / 21+ as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and report as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse, yard, parking, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and document entries and unusual activity as per site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and leadership and complete required reports.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Verification in Summerville, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse, loading dock, trailer yard, parking, office, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor, driver, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements, documenting entries, incidents, and unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership while completing required reports and maintaining awareness of changing logistics operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
