Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Issuance in Tampa, FL. The role offers flexible hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Earn $17.00 per hour with a fixed anchor shift and the possibility to work more via additional shifts. Ideal candidates have badge access experience, a guard card/license (preferred), and strong customer service.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Issuance in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the food and beverage distribution location, verifying credentials, processing authorized visitors, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, gates, parking areas, loading zones, and the facility perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged access points, and potential policy violations while supporting the orderly movement of employees, vendors, and deliveries.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
