Allied Universal in Tampa, FL seeks a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, courteous service at a technology-focused site. This role offers steady hours with anchor shifts and the ability to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

You’ll work a fixed schedule with the option to claim extra shifts via our scheduling platform, helping you grow toward a full-time schedule while enjoying benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.

• CPR certification preferred.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Access Patrol in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
