As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Visitor Registration in Orlando, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.58 / Hour

DayTimeMon08:45 AM - 05:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Serve as a professional front desk presence by greeting and directing visitors, verifying appointments and credentials, and maintaining visitor logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor access to the location, report suspicious activity or unauthorized access attempts, and help to deter security-related concerns through a professional, attentive presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Assist with reception-related communications, including answering calls, providing general information, and coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Type at least 40 words per minute.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
