Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following escalation procedures.
• Document patrol observations and incidents and communicate findings to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Customer Service Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security‑related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
