Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Vehicle Patrol in Jacksonville, FL. This role offers flexible, fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, designed to provide reliable hours and potential earnings growth.

Pay rate is $19.57 per hour. Schedule is DayTime Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM, with opportunities to advance to full-time hours up to 40 per week.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Armed guard card/license preferred; background checks and drug screening are required by the employer.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transportation facilities and transit areas.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit property, parking areas, platforms, buildings, and surrounding perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency personnel as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, vehicle and pedestrian activity, and restricted areas; verify credentials and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, site policies, and Allied Universal procedures; complete required incident reports and daily activity documentation.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Vehicle Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
