Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations while reporting unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner per site protocols.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor requirements per procedures.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow laws and Allied Universal policies related to armed post duties.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Security Clearance in Jacksonville, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Thur 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of aerospace and defense facilities, restricted areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations while observing and reporting unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel and first responders.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor requirements in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies related to armed post duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Maintain an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
