Qualifications

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program, or equivalent.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Minimum age 21 for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen per law.
• Participate in security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out security‑related procedures and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following post orders and reporting protocols.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor activity and incidents in reports.
• Maintain armed‑post qualifications and handle equipment in accordance with laws and Allied Universal policies.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Specialist in Woodstown, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate

$22.00 / Hour

DayTime Fri 03:00 PM – 07:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and reporting protocols.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, and observations in required reports.
• Maintain required armed‑post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience, or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program, or equivalent.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
