Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns calmly and professionally per emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor/contractor/delivery authorization per site procedures.
• Document observations and communicate findings to site leadership and responders.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Hazard Identification in Newark, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur09:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and/or delivery authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
