Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Lakewood, OH. This role offers reliable hours at a fixed site with opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $28.00 per hour. The schedule includes fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment, plus Earn More, Claim-A-Shift options to work across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisory/manager experience or 3 years of security experience.
• Armed Guard Card or License is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain controlled access to banking areas and restricted spaces.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and maintain required qualifications for armed assignments.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Lakewood, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Job Schedule:

• Fri 08:30 AM - 06:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security‑related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security‑related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
