Pay Rate: $22.89 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing visitors in accordance with established government facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Possess at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
