Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Mobile Driver in Miami, FL to provide dependable, flexible coverage at a designated site with opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience required.
• A DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at government facilities while enforcing site procedures and access-control protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, contacting emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, report suspicious activity and policy violations.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain firearms qualifications and equipment per Allied Universal policies.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Mobile Driver in Miami, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate emergency services and/or site representatives when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain awareness of restricted areas, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations through established reporting channels.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity logs, and maintain required firearms qualifications and equipment in accordance with applicable laws, client requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
• A DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate is required.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
