Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at Richfield, OH to provide on-site security, access-control and safety support at a logistics and distribution location. You’ll have a fixed anchor shift, the option to claim extra shifts, and a path toward fuller-time hours up to 40 per week.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian activity, communicate access concerns to site contacts, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, trailer yards, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
