Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Plainview, TX to join our team protecting residents and staff with professional, courteous service. This role offers fixed anchor shifts on weekends, flexibility to pick up additional shifts, weekly pay, and opportunities to grow within the industry leader in security and facility services.

You will perform access control, patrols, incident response, and maintain accurate reports, contributing to a safe community.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• Licensed requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and manage visitor logs.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Operations in Plainview, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Weekly Pay

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests, deliveries, and service personnel in accordance with residential location procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, unusual activities, access‑control events, and shift‑related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
