Allied Universal in Louisville, KY is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Operations to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Qualifications

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Operations in Louisville, KY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to manufacturing and industrial facilities by verifying credentials, issuing visitor and contractor badges, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
• Screen incoming personnel, vehicles, and materials in accordance with site policies, escalating unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, production‑area entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
