Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Coordinator in Dade City, FL. This flexible role offers fixed anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings while maintaining a base schedule.

Pay rate is $17.51 per hour. The position supports day-time hours with a shift from 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM, designed to provide reliable hours at an assigned site and potential to scale to up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by performing access control procedures and following site policies.
• Monitor entrances, lobbies, and credential checkpoints to deter unauthorized access and document visitor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with management and leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the building and perimeter to identify security concerns.
• Maintain logs, prepare incident reports, and provide directions and assistance to occupants and guests.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor entrances, lobbies, loading areas, and/or credential checkpoints to help to deter unauthorized access, verify permissions, and document visitor activity according to property guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with property management, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter to identify unusual conditions and report security‑related concerns.
• Support day‑to‑day property operations by maintaining logs, preparing incident reports, and providing clear directions and assistance to occupants and guests.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
