Allied Universal in Clearwater, FL is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed to provide reliable security coverage at a government facility. The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, increasing earning potential while maintaining flexibility.

Pay rate is $24.50 per hour, with a schedule including day-time Thursday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• At least three years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience OR a college degree.
• Armed guard card or license is required.
• Must be 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background investigation will be conducted per applicable laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees and authorized personnel at a government facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and disturbances calmly and professionally following procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for visitors, contractors and personnel.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate information to site leadership and emergency responders.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Security Patrol in Clearwater, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel at a government facility by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for visitors, contractors, and personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
