Allied Universal in University Park, IL is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Coordination to provide reliable, flexible coverage at a logistics site. Pay rate is $20.00 per hour with anchor shifts and options to pick up additional shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records for personnel and vehicles.
• Screen incoming and outgoing deliveries, coordinate with receiving and shipping personnel, and help maintain orderly vehicle flow at gates, docks, and designated access areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Coordination in University Park, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
