Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Waynesboro, PA. This role provides fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform, and a pathway to full-time opportunities at a leading security services company.

The pay rate is $16.50 per hour. Responsibilities include access control, customer service at a food and beverage location, monitoring credentials, logging incidents, and patrolling entrances and perimeters.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized personnel, vendors, and deliveries to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, production-adjacent spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain logs and reports related to access activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate concerns to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Waynesboro, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized personnel, vendors, and deliveries to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, production‑adjacent spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports related to access activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
