Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time at our York, PA site. The role offers fixed shifts with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $19.61 per hour, with a path to build a full schedule up to 40 hours per week. The position requires customer service experience, comfort with using a computer or tablet, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience using computers or tablets for emails, software applications, and communication tools.
• Customer service experience preferred with positive, professional demeanor.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles where applicable.

Responsabilités

• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain entry/exit records.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Compliance in York, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.61 / Hour

1. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)
   • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for various tasks, including but not limited to:
     • Sending and receiving emails
     • Utilizing software applications relevant to the job role
     • Navigating online platforms for communication and collaboration
   • During the interview process, candidates may be assessed on their ability to perform basic computer tasks.
2. Customer Service Experience (B219)
   • Candidates should possess prior customer service experience, which may include:
     • Handling customer inquiries and complaints
     • Providing information about products and services
     • Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions
   • Relevant experience can be demonstrated through previous employment, internships, or volunteer work.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor, vendor, contractor, and driver credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control access to distribution areas, shipping and receiving locations, and restricted spaces in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner and promptly report security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the facility, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
