Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain required entry records, and direct individuals to appropriate site contacts.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the location in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Administration Driver in La Porte, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri05:30 PM - 05:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain required entry records, and direct individuals to appropriate site contacts.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the chemical and petrochemical location in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
