Allied Universal® in Lima, Ohio is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to provide reliable, flexible security coverage at our assigned site. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with a six‑month commitment and the option to earn more by picking up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Responsibilities include customer service, responding to incidents, patrolling production areas, monitoring access, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Lima, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production‑adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, buildings, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by observing visitor, vendor, and employee activity and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate site contacts.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately in required logs and reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
