Job summary

Allied Universal in UXBRIDGE, MA seeks a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer to provide dependable, flexible hours and a path toward a full-time career within a leader in security services. You will perform patrols, monitor entrances, assist shoppers and employees, respond to incidents calmly, and follow site procedures.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), and successful background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, members, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail floor, entrances, parking and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and customer concerns calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity as per site policy.
• Document observations and communicate information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Computer Patrol in UXBRIDGE, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by pick-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, members, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures.
• Monitor access points, delivery areas, and employee entrances in accordance with site-specific policies and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
