Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security‑related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security‑related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a college degree.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as per laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government location by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and control access to restricted areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to identify and report security‑related concerns, unauthorized access attempts, or facility issues.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding incidents, access‑control activities, and unusual occurrences, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and/or responding agencies.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
