Allied Universal’s Security Officer Enhanced Part Time role in Bloomfield, CT offers flexible daytime hours with anchor shifts and the opportunity to earn extra by picking up additional shifts. The position requires a minimum of 2 years security experience, a high school diploma, and a background check and drug screen as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior production areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Operator in Bloomfield, CT, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.96 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
