Job summary

Allied Universal in Florida is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at Umatilla to provide security services at a food and beverage production site, with reliable, anchored hours and a path toward greater hours. Pay rate is $15.75 per hour, with Sun 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM shifts and the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program to pick extra shifts across sites.

Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a food and beverage production location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit points, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access control systems, alarms, cameras, and other security-related equipment, reporting unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Checkpoint in Umatilla, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
