Job summary

Allied Universal in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Security Officer Emergency Preparedness Patrol to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff across healthcare settings. You will provide customer service, monitor access, and conduct unarmed patrols to deter incidents while maintaining safety and a calm, professional presence.

This full-time position offers night shifts: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and medical emergencies in a calm, professional manner, coordinating with site personnel and responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and assist with directions and inquiries.
• Document observations and incidents and report concerns to leadership and site contacts.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with directions and access-related inquiries.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and report security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
