Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Electronic Badge Services in Concord, NC. You will manage access control, verify credentials, and respond to security concerns at a food and beverage production site.

You will use tablets/computers to support badge and alarm panel operations and maintain professional conduct to deter incidents. Training and growth opportunities are available within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a food and beverage location.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, and document access records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and security concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct patrols of the facility, perimeter, and parking areas and report irregularities.
• Support deliveries, contractor arrivals, and restricted areas with professional communication.

As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, use computer or tablet systems to support badge and alarm panel operations, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter incidents. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $15.39 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, document visitor and contractor access, and help maintain accurate access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the facility perimeter, parking areas, and access points, and report unusual conditions.
• Support security-related procedures for deliveries, contractor arrivals, and restricted areas while maintaining professional communication with site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
