Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in New York, NY to protect campuses and facilities. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, and providing courteous customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking and perimeter areas; report hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and per established protocols.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions and campus procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity and incident reports and communicate with site leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $20.40 $21.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, credential checks, and campus access procedures as assigned.
• Prepare accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and campus stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
