Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Educational Part Time Patrol Driver for New York, NY. You will serve and safeguard clients, conduct routine patrols, and deliver excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

A valid driver’s license is required; CPR certification is preferred. This part-time schedule features shifts Thu–Sun with morning hours and a pay rate of $20.40–$21.40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and a drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, credential checks, and campus access procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and campus stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
