Allied Universal in New Milford, CT is seeking a part-time Security Officer Educational Mobile Patrol to serve students, staff and visitors with a courteous, safety-focused presence.

As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, document incidents, and report to site leadership, contributing to a secure, welcoming campus environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check subject to laws.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors and/or families while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
