Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, documenting incidents and policy violations per site procedures.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions and reporting maintenance or security concerns per Allied Universal/site policies.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents, unusual conditions, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, reporting maintenance or security-related concerns, and following all applicable Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
