• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control systems, alarms, cameras, and visitor activity; verify credentials and follow site procedures for visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific protocols.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence in a high-availability technology environment.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a technology data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will communicate professionally, support a caring culture, and work with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.79 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
