Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility personnel while enforcing site access procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, issue access for visitors and contractors, and maintain access records.
• Control access to restricted areas and coordinate visitor arrivals/departures with site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies per site procedures and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of points of entry and surrounding areas; report hazards.

As a Security Officer Driver Entry Screening in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and assist with security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will help maintain an orderly environment, support site operations through teamwork, and reflect Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

• Tue: 06:15 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed: 06:15 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur: 06:15 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri: 06:15 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor and contractor access credentials, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Control access to restricted operational areas, coordinate with authorized site contacts regarding visitor arrivals and departures, and report unauthorized access attempts or credential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions, access-control concerns, and security-related hazards.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
