Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in King of Prussia, PA, for overnight shifts. You will patrol assigned areas, deter unauthorized activities, monitor access points, and respond to alarms while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while following security procedures.

• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of offices, access points, parking, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify credentials per site procedures.
• Prepare daily activity reports and communicate hazards to site leadership.

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.86 / Hour

1. Access Control/Badge Experience (B201) Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges.
2. Alarm Panel Experience (B202) Experience with alarm panel systems is required. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of alarm system operations and protocols.
3. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204) Proficiency in using computers or tablets is necessary. Candidates must be comfortable navigating software applications and performing tasks on digital devices.
4. CPR Certification (B205) Candidates must hold a current CPR certification. This certification is vital for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and clients.
5. Customer Service Experience (B219) Previous experience in customer service is required. Candidates should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and promptly communicate observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Hold CPR certification, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
