Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Document Screening in Vance, AL. In this part-time role, you will screen visitors, support access control, and assist employees and guests to maintain a secure environment.

You will use computer or tablet tools to document activity, remain visible to deter security issues, and deliver excellent customer service. The position supports a flexible schedule at an automotive site with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and vehicles according to access-control procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals to entry points.
• Monitor entry/exit activity, report unauthorized access or suspicious conditions, and maintain visitor logs.
• Respond to incidents calmly, following escalation procedures.
• Conduct patrols of access points, parking areas, and perimeters; vary by location.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Fri 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing or distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and vehicles in accordance with site‑specific access‑control procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate entry points.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious conditions, and maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and screening records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
