Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a distribution warehouse in Purchase, NY. You will monitor the facility, provide customer service, and support a safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include patrolling, credential verification, and incident reporting. A NY Security Guard License and high school diploma are required, with background checks and drug screening as part of employment.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and warehouse areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor and delivery records in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Assist with maintaining orderly access for employees, vendors, and transport drivers while documenting security-related incidents and communicating observations to site contacts.

As a Security Officer at a Distribution Warehouse located in Purchase, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, document activity using technology, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Tue: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Wed: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
