Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a full-time security professional for a retail cafe location. The position pays $18.55 per hour and includes a schedule Mon-Sun 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

You will verify credentials, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license in the job state, and prior access-control experience.

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors at a retail cafe location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Control access to designated areas by verifying credentials and logging activity.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly, notifying site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct patrols of the cafe and surrounding areas to identify hazards and access-control concerns.
• Complete daily activity reports and access-control logs per site requirements.

Pay Rate: $18.55 / Hour

• Age Requirement: Candidates must be 21 years of age or older (C101).
• Driver's License: A valid driver's license in the job state is required (C124).
• Experience: Previous experience with access control and badge systems is essential (B201).

• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors at a retail café location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to designated areas by verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the café, surrounding retail areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and access-control concerns.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and access-control logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
