Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a distribution center in New York. The role focuses on safeguarding clients across industries, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining a secure site with visible patrols and controlled access.

Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, reporting incidents, and supporting a welcoming, safe environment. The position offers flexible scheduling and emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and customer care.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, warehouse perimeters, and adjacent grounds to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, vendors, and commercial drivers in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Observe shipping, receiving, and delivery activity; report suspicious conditions, damaged gates or fencing, unsecured doors, and other security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document observations and activities, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed.

What You'll Do:
