Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Medley, FL to patrol a food distribution location and safeguard clients. You will provide customer service, maintain a visible presence, and deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries.

You will monitor access points, perform patrols, and follow site procedures, communicating observations to site contacts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and delivery traffic in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting relevant activity and maintaining required logs.
• Report hazards, damaged property, suspicious activity, and operational concerns observed during patrols through established reporting channels.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
