Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Modesto, CA. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts, designed for flexible hours and potential progression toward a full-time schedule.

Pay rate is $17.80 per hour, with the schedule comprising Wednesday morning to afternoon and Thursday afternoon to night shifts. Responsibilities include customer service, patrols, access control, and incident response at a food and beverage

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• State, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• Valid drivers license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Observe and report conditions that may affect operations, including unsecured doors, damaged fencing, or unusual activity, to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Area Patrol in Modesto, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed - 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Thur - 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
