Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations.
• Maintain logs, visitor records, and shipment-related entry activity to support access control operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, yard, dock areas, and perimeter.

Position Type: Part Time / Overnight Shift

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and/or credential checkpoints to help verify authorized access for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Maintain logs, visitor records, and/or shipment‑related entry activity, helping to support organized access control operations and security‑related reporting.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, yard, dock areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
